Our responsibility as ARTISTS is to learn all the rules, techniques and guidelines
set down by those who have come before and break them in a creative manner that
we can call our own.
COMMERICAL ARTISTS must achieve the same thing, with a clear understanding
of the audience and compelling message. --TD
BIO
For many years, Tom Drennon’s award-winning creative talent and spirit has been
a major factor in the success of his clients in the entertainment, fashion, sports and
corporate communities. As a Creative Director, Art Director, Designer and Illustrator,
his body of work includes classic album covers (Kansas, REO Speedwagon), theatrical
posters (Pretty Woman, Home Alone 1 and 2), high fashion (Versace, Fendi) and
syndicated radio (Premiere Radio Network, Westwood One Radio Networks, FOX Sports).
Raised and educated in Los Angeles, his creativity is as diversified and independent as
the Southern California lifestyle.
As a writer of captivating headlines and positioning statements, he co-authored and
illustrated a series of books for the Betty Ford Center featuring Beamer the Bulb Boy,
a character who teaches children about feelings via a simple color system. As an
accomplished painter, he has always brought his background in fine art to the creative
process. Embracing the philosophy that anything is possible, he brings projects to life
by insisting that form and function work hand-in-hand to achieve successful communication.
Mr. Drennon has received awards from the Art Directors Club of Los Angeles and
Billboard Magazine. He has also been acknowledged by the Grammy’s and Hollywood
Reporter Key Art awards with nominations.
